Linkalia Privacy
Last updated: October 2026

At Linkalia, we take the privacy of our users very seriously. This policy clearly explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Linkalia is designed from the ground up to collect as little data as possible. It does not require registration, you do not need to provide your name or email address, and we do not display advertising.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is the developer of Linkalia. You can contact us at any time at info@linkalia.org.

2. What data we collect

Anonymous device identifier
When you open the application for the first time, a unique random identifier (UUID) is automatically generated on your device. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, phone number, or any personal data. It is used solely to manage your collections and your storage quota on the server.

Username (optional)
You may choose a visible name to identify yourself in collaborative collections. This name is entirely free โ€” you can use a pseudonym or any text you prefer. We do not verify it or link it to any real identity.

Content you provide
The links, documents, images, and files you save in Linkalia are stored on servers located in the European Union (Cloudflare R2, EU jurisdiction). This content belongs to you and you control it at all times.

Subscription data
If you purchase a Premium subscription, the transaction is handled entirely through Google Play. Linkalia only receives confirmation that the subscription is valid โ€” we do not have access to your credit card, payment data, or billing information.

Link previews
To show the title and image of a link you save, the app reads that page directly from your device. Only if that does not work (some sites, such as Instagram or LinkedIn, block it), it sends the link's address to one of these external preview services: noembed.com and microlink.io. These services receive only the link's address and, as with any internet connection, your device's IP address. They do not receive your name, your identifier, your collections or your documents.

Android backup
If Android backup is turned on, the system stores your anonymous identifier and your username in your Google account, so that when you reinstall the app or switch phones you remain the same person in your shared collections. Your links and documents are not included in that backup.

3. What data we do NOT collect

4. How we use your data

We do not use your data for advertising, nor do we share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

5. Where data is stored

All content you upload to collaborative collections or Spaces is stored on Cloudflare servers under European Union jurisdiction. Cloudflare holds the relevant security certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2). You can review their privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Personal collections that you do not share are stored exclusively on your device and are not sent to any server.

6. How long we retain data

Your content remains on our servers for as long as you have the application installed and active. If you delete a collaborative collection, the content is permanently and immediately removed. To delete all your data, write to info@linkalia.org with your account identifier (available in Settings) and we will delete it within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

Write to us at info@linkalia.org. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

All communication between the application and our servers uses HTTPS with TLS encryption. Access tokens are stored as SHA-256 hashes and never in plain text. Your anonymous account identifier is generated locally and does not allow you to be identified.

9. Minors

Linkalia is not directed at children under the age of 16. If you are under 16, please do not use the application without the consent of your legal guardian.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will notify you within the app. The date of the last update always appears at the top of this document.
